After getting SO VERY CLOSE to being cast on season 8, 9, and 10 of the hit reality
TV show, The Biggest Loser, I realized a lot of things about myself. The most important being, how much I desperately want and need this. "This" being a healthy, whole, functional body.

My blog is intended to help me get accountable. Accountable to EVERYONE, family, friends, complete strangers and ultimately MYSELF. I have over 400lbs to loose in order to gain the FABULOUS life I was born to lead!!

I am SO EXCITED, nervous, embarrassed and determined. I will REJOICE with you in my accomplishments and confess to you any "falling off the wagon" I might do. I encourage EVERYONE to get out there and tell your friends about this blog. The more people that read and comment, the more accountable I create for myself! This is one of the HUGE aspects I love about the show. I would NOT have let America down! Now I just have to create my OWN America!! Post your own accomplishments, encouragement, questions, doubts etc. This blog is here for you too! Let's get this ball rolling! WE GOT THIS!!

One good week down, MANY more to go!!

This week has been a good week!! I managed to get my butt to the grocery store and get a chicken! Not the fried kind, mind you, but the "better" kind that goes for a spin in that yummy looking oven before it hits my plate. I seriously could pull up a chair, and sit there in front of that oven, basking in the sultry warmth emanating from the chickeny "Merry-go-round". Who needs a fire place to set a mood. Just slap a HUGE chicken rotisserie in my living room and call it a "night in" for me!! Mmmmm...

ANYWAY! I bought a chicken, lots of veggies, avocado, corn tortillas and had myself LOTS of food for the week. Now that I think about it...HOLY COW!! I haven't had fast food in 5 days!!! I didn't even REALIZE IT!! I seriously just had to go check my bank account to see when the last debit transaction was! YAY ME!!! Well, I guess all I have to do in order to beat the fast food addiction is have a big bag of Avocados on hand!! (I did eat 6 avocado's in the last 5 days. lol) YAY!!

I need to go fill up our big water bottles. I have had almost 0 water. I know, I know... Preparation is the key...CLEARLY!! I will go fill up the bottles tomorrow, I promise!!

  1. I am so glad you are making a real effort to not eat that fast food processed additive ridden crap! I did my food shopping today too and did not buy any of those freaking ring dings or devil dogs. No junk in my house it's wonderful!

    Keep up the good work my dear. And next blog should be about how you started walking ;)

  2. Yeah Kristin - 5 whole days and no fast food! That is so awesome. I think you will drop pounds like water if you can keep that up. Write about what you are eating instead... maybe we could use some good ideas! XO- Michelle :)

  3. This blog looks great,Kristin! You are doing awesome! Keep it the meantime, Steve has me running and running in races! Yikes! I did a 10K while we were in CO, and I'm doing a 5K tomorrow. I'm slow, but I'm doing it for my own fitness, so that's all that matters -- same with you right! Love ya...
