After getting SO VERY CLOSE to being cast on season 8, 9, and 10 of the hit reality
TV show, The Biggest Loser, I realized a lot of things about myself. The most important being, how much I desperately want and need this. "This" being a healthy, whole, functional body.

My blog is intended to help me get accountable. Accountable to EVERYONE, family, friends, complete strangers and ultimately MYSELF. I have over 400lbs to loose in order to gain the FABULOUS life I was born to lead!!

I am SO EXCITED, nervous, embarrassed and determined. I will REJOICE with you in my accomplishments and confess to you any "falling off the wagon" I might do. I encourage EVERYONE to get out there and tell your friends about this blog. The more people that read and comment, the more accountable I create for myself! This is one of the HUGE aspects I love about the show. I would NOT have let America down! Now I just have to create my OWN America!! Post your own accomplishments, encouragement, questions, doubts etc. This blog is here for you too! Let's get this ball rolling! WE GOT THIS!!

Day one starts with "Dollar Store Lettuce..." click that red link, and then scroll past this intro. :)

Who Needs Salt!? Not I!!

Okay, so maybe we all need a LITTLE sodium. But one thing I have figured out is that I don't need NEARLY as much as I was giving myself!!! For the last two weeks, I have been CRAZY about watching my sodium intake. Not going over the RDA. I can't TELL you how much of a difference this has made with my swelling and breathing. HELLOO!! Why didn't I think of this sooner!

No gimmicks, sweat, tears or anything terribly taxing. Just watching my salt.

Seems like the next step will be, ahem...going to the, um....GYM on Friday! AHHHHH! THAT is something that I am sure tears, sweat and maybe a gimmick or two will be involved it. That's right Jaime. You heard me. Galleria 24hr fitness here I come. Please have the treadmill cleared of any donut crumbs before I get there. No carbo-loading for me!!

  1. Cutting back salt intake will be awesome for you. I have gotten to the point where I do not even like foods that to me taste salty. It is a great step! Cheering you on to the Gym!

  2. Yay! I love to see you posting again :) You are truly inspirational - and I really, REALLY hope that the Biggest Loser will come back to you soon and let you be on the show. I would LOVE to cheer you on my tv! My cousin's husband was oh so close to making the cut for this next season. Maybe you could both be on it together sometime. Now THAT would be awesome. Keep up the great work - and keep us all posted!

  3. The gym isn't that bad. You'll have more success if you chose activities that you enjoy or do the activities with friends you like.
